Job description

Holt Engineering are working with technical MOD manufacturer based in Portsmouth.

Looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join our dynamic team.

You'll play a key role in assembling mechanical components and systems to support our growing operations.

The Mechanical Assembler role is offering a permanent contract.

Working Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 4pm

Paying £14 per hour - (Overtime available at an increased rate)

Key Responsibilities for the Mechanical Assembler:

- Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies using hand tools, power tools, and blueprints
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and schematics
- Perform quality checks to ensure product meets specifications
- Troubleshoot and correct assembly issues as they arise
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals

Requirements for the Mechanical Assembler:

- Proven experience in mechanical assembly
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Driving Licence
- Able to go through security clearance
