Job description

Are you a skilled Mechanical Assembler with a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality? Join our client's team in Mildenhall who are expanding due to securing several large projects.


Responsibilities:
  1. Assemble mechanical components including steelwork, enclosures, and copper busbars for low voltage switchgear, distribution boards, and control panels
  2. Interpret and work accurately from mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical layouts
  3. Perform light metalwork fabrication such as drilling, grinding, cutting, and bending sheet steel
  4. Complete panel builds from component level through to final assembly
  5. Conduct laser engraving for panel labels and other identification tasks
  6. Ensure products are assembled in line with project specifications and customer requirements
  7. Maintain product continuity and quality throughout the assembly process
  8. Collaborate with team members to improve workflow and highlight BOM errors
  9. Follow strict Health & Safety guidelines and company procedures at all times
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in mechanical assembly within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  2. Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings accurately
  3. Skilled in using fabrication tools such as drills, grinders, and bending equipment
  4. High attention to detail and a commitment to quality standards
  5. Strong teamwork and communication skills
  6. Understanding and application of Health & Safety best practices
