Mechanical Assembly - Hatfield, Pennsylvania

CTS is a growing, dynamic company specializing in custom manufactured equipment, and we’re looking for exceptional people to join us as we expand our business.

Climatic Testing Systems, Inc. (CTS) is a technology company founded in 2001 and is a leading single-source supplier of environmental test equipment for the Automotive, HVAC, and Pharmaceutical industries. CTS leverages its expertise in refrigeration and air conditioning system technologies to provide comprehensive services for test facilities and specialized ancillary test equipment.

We are currently accepting candidates for our Mechanical Assembly team at our corporate office in Hatfield, PA. The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for fitting, layout, and fabrication of components and systems used in our Environmental Test Facilities and Equipment. This is a Full-Time, Non-Exempt position reporting to the Production Supervisor.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Layout, plan, and perform mechanical assembly duties, including fastening components, installing and aligning fans, pumps, motors, and assembling environmental chamber panels.
  2. Use common assembly tools, hand and power tools, drills, levels, and measuring devices.
  3. Verify parts are free of flaws and defects, meeting all dimensional requirements per drawings.
  4. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure system specifications are met.
  5. Assist with shipping functions, including building skids and crates.
  6. Operate forklifts for materials handling as needed.
  7. Follow all safety policies.
  8. Work overtime as necessary.
  9. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience or equivalent education and work experience in mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and instructions.
  • Proficiency with measuring and leveling devices.
  • Mechanical aptitude and general building skills.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently, with guidance, and within a team.
  • Quick learner.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and perform manual tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
