Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Agency in Crawley is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join a practical, quality-driven team. The role blends hands-on assembly with customer-facing work, with a Monday–Friday schedule (07:30 to 16:30, finishing at 11:00 on Fridays) and overtime paid at time and a half.

You will assemble components from drawings, perform quality checks, support on-site installations, and travel to customer sites as required. A permanent contract and a brand-new unit await the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Hands-on assembly experience in mechanical, automotive, electrical, or bench fitting.
• Confident with hand and power tools.
• Basic lathe and milling understanding.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive company vans.

Responsibilities

• Assembling mechanical components and systems using hand and power tools.
• Working from technical drawings and build instructions with accuracy.
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure equipment meets required standards.
• Supporting on-site installation and commissioning at customer locations.
• Interacting professionally with customers during site visits.
