As the Mechanical Architect, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company that is constantly growing and developing. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing the TRS to ensure a structured & coherent mechanical response to the overall TRS
  • Managing the mechanical interface
  • Managing Mechanical & Thermal Interfaces across the product
  • Defining the optimal mechanical architecture for all variants of the product, ensuring the architecture and interfaces meet requirements
  • Implementing GMA Policies to achieve Modularity & Reuse objectives
  • Developing the overall proving logic
  • Ensuring mechanical compliance to the TRS for product certification
  • Producing Statements of Work and plans
  • Applying experience in mechanical engineering
  • Technically managing internal & sub-contract activities
  • Demonstrating strong leadership skills
  • Having good knowledge & experience of mechanical design, including Static & Dynamic Analysis, Design for Environment, Thermal Management
  • Understanding engineering disciplines such as Aerodynamics, Testability, Production
  • Developing proving logic and managing the generation of compliance evidence for Certificates of Design
  • Experience across the full Product Life Cycle
