Job summary

Edwards Vacuum in Bristol, United Kingdom, offers an Apprenticeship Programme designed to turn potential into hands-on experience. The role runs two to four years, includes full-time study and rotations across mechanical engineering functions, and culminates in an UWE degree with required learning hours.

You’ll contribute to design, testing, and continuous improvement of sophisticated semiconductor equipment, including CAD work.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a readiness to learn.
• Interest in applying engineering theory to practical challenges in manufacturing equipment.
• Motivation to develop technical knowledge within a global engineering organisation.

Responsibilities

• Complete the UWEqualification during the first year, including full-time academic study.
• Undertake a two-year rotation across core mechanical engineering functions.
• Complete the UWE degree and attend all required learning hours.
• Support design, development, testing and continuous improvement of mechanical systems.
• Contribute to live projects and produce engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Assist with system integration, verification and troubleshooting.
