ROLE: Mechanical Application Engineer

LOCATION: Darwen

SALARY: Circa £35,000 to £38,000 basic plus annual bonus.

Mechanical Application Engineer - Key skills:

• Hands-on approach to your work is absolutely key.
• Keen understanding and interest in mechanical engineering for fast-moving industries.
• At least 2 years of industry experience is essential.
• Mechanical Design Engineering Degree or HND.
• Experience with 3D CAD (Inventor) or SolidWorks.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to develop and build customer relationships and ensure repeat business.
• Positive attitude working as part of a team and supporting colleagues.

Mechanical Application Engineer - Role:

• This is an internal engineering role supporting the global sales team by composing product and project quotes for customers.
• Collaborating with suppliers and agents to maintain margins and ensure accurate project costings.
• Cross-functional communication.
• Overseas travel when required.
• Providing technical and pricing support to the global sales team.
• Coordinating project quotations across the team.

There is potential to develop from the Application Engineer role into other areas within the company, such as the Technical Department, Mechanical Design, or Engineering Sales.
