Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical AP Trainer in Livingston, Scotland, offering full training and development to move from field roles into training.

You'll deliver Mechanical AP training focused on safe isolation of boilers and pressure systems, teach engineers, and provide classroom and practical sessions with regular travel to York.

The role is Monday–Friday with a company vehicle or car allowance, pension, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Authorised Person background with boilers/pressure systems.
• Experience planning and carrying out pressure-system isolations.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical safety procedures.
• Teaching experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Willingness to travel regularly and stay away overnight.

Mechanical AP Trainer - Full Training Provided

Livingston, Scotland

• £42,000 rising to £46,000 once fully qualified + Company Vehicle or Car Allowance (£3,840) + Training + Progression + Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

Are you an experienced Mechanical Authorised Person with experience safely isolating boilers and pressure systems looking to step off the tools and move into professional training?

Do you want to use your AP experience to develop other engineers, gain professional trainer qualifications and build a long-term career within a leading technical training organisation?

Working with a highly respected training provider renowned for delivering industry-leading technical courses, you'll join an organisation that invests heavily in its trainers and provides experienced engineers with the opportunity to turn their technical knowledge into a rewarding new career.

In this role, you'll deliver Mechanical Authorised Person training focused on the safe management and isolation of boilers and pressure systems. You'll use your practical experience of planning and carrying out isolations to teach engineers how to safely manage mechanical and pressure systems.

The ideal candidate will have worked as a Mechanical AP or in a position where they have been responsible for safely planning and carrying out isolations on pressure systems. Previous teaching experience is not essential as full trainer development will be provided.

The Person:

• Mechanical Authorised Person / Mechanical AP background
• Experience with boilers and pressure systems

• Previous teaching experience advantageous but not essential
• Looking to step off the tools and move into training
• Happy with regular travel and overnight stays
• Commutable to Livingston
