Job summary

Arcus FM is seeking a skilled M&E Engineer for a field-based role across our South London portfolio. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on M&E systems, diagnose faults, and support safety and service standards across multiple sites.

Applicants should have an apprenticeship or M&E qualifications, the 18th Edition, and ideally F-Gas/Test & Inspection. A valid UK driving licence is essential, with on-call and travel requirements to cover client sites.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship or qualification in M&E services/maintenance.
• Essential qualifications: 18th Edition.
• Desirable qualifications: F-Gas, Test & Inspection, Unvented.
• Previous experience in a similar role (retail or commercial experience preferred).
• Valid UK driving licence (essential).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• IT proficiency and ability to manage workload effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on M&E systems across sites.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Provide technical support across multiple sites and liaise with customers.
• Mentor apprentices and junior engineers.

Are you a skilled Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineer in or around the South London area, looking for an exciting opportunity in the facilities management sector? We are seeking a dedicated professional to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a defined portfolio, ensuring top-quality service delivery and first-line response to emergencies.

• £36,910 or £42,447 (depending on experience)
• Additional £3,000 per annum location allowance
• Full door-to-door pay
• Up to 4% bonus
• All overtime paid at time-and-a-half
• Company Van (with option for personal use from day 1)
• 25 days annual leave + bank holiday equivalent

About the Job

• Performing planned and reactive maintenance on M&E systems
