Job summary

Hypersonica in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced AIT Technician to join a small, elite team working on cutting-edge hypersonic systems. You’ll read engineering drawings, assemble mechanical structures, and verify tolerances with precision tools, contributing directly to Europe’s defence capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in precision mechanical assembly and fitment.

Responsibilities

• Support the assembly and integration of mechanical structures and subsystems for hypersonic vehicles.
• Assemble components and sub-assemblies using engineering drawings, work instructions, and torque specifications.
• Install mechanical hardware, structures, and mechanisms as part of vehicle build.
• Use hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and precision equipment to achieve high-quality builds.
• Perform inspections and checks to ensure correct fit, alignment, and installation.
• Maintain organised workspaces, tooling, and parts throughout the build process.
• Support mechanical testing and integration activities as required.
• Work closely with engineers to resolve build and fitment issues.
