Job Opportunity: Mechanic / Engineer / Car Builder at Tomcat Motorsport Ltd

Tomcat Motorsport Ltd is seeking a versatile professional to join our team as a mechanic, engineer, or car builder. This role is distinct from a typical garage mechanic position, involving:

1. Building and partially building Tomcat road and competition cars.
2. Repairing and servicing racing damage and various off-road and track competition vehicles.
3. Fabrication work.

The ideal candidate should be:

• Capable in mechanical tasks.
• Resourceful with problem-solving skills.
• Competent in electrical system repair and build.
• Possessing light fabrication, fibre glass repair, welding, and machining skills (preferred but not essential).

The successful applicant will work under the supervision of the project engineer alongside other team members, including both permanent staff and self-employed workers.

This position can be offered part-time, suitable for a qualified mechanic seeking a career change or a skilled car builder looking for part-time work, possibly in retirement. The role requires road and track testing, so a clean UK driving license is essential.
