Qualifications

  • Experience in vehicle servicing and repair.
  • Knowledge of the Guide To Maintaining Roadworthiness.
  • Ability to work within a team effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, service, and repair council vehicles.
  • Diagnose faults in vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance standards and roadworthiness.

A vacancy has arisen for a mechanic to join our team in working in the Helensburgh area for Argyll and Bute.

The successful candidate will assist the Fleet, Waste & Infrastructure team to deliver an efficient, effective and high-quality service to users by carrying out the inspection, servicing, fault diagnosis and repair of all plant and vehicles used by the council and for all related activities as required. In conjunction to the above, the successful candidate would need to be computer literate and be up to date with the latest version of the Guide To Maintaining Roadworthiness.
