Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a skilled Mechanic to service, repair and maintain its fleet and other parties’ vehicles, plant and equipment. You will work toward continuous improvement of the service and the organisation.

The role operates a four‑day week with a rotating day off and an on‑call rota (one week on, four weeks off). Ideally you will hold MOT tester classes 4 and 7, and licences for Class C (HGV) and D (minibus), with HGV maintenance experience or willingness to be trained.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a Mechanic to be responsible for the service, repair and maintenance of Aberdeenshire Council and other parties vehicles, plant and equipment

There is a responsibility for the post holder to work toward continuous improvement of the post for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

4 day week with rotated day off

07:00-16.45

On call rota 1 week on 4 weeks off

It would be advantageous if you had the following:

• MOT tester class 4 and 7
• Class C (HGV) D (minibus) licence
• HGV maintenance experience or willing to be further trained
