We are currently looking for an experienced HGV and/or PLG mechanic to join our team in our modern workshop and MOT centre.

Duties and responsibilities include:

HGV Role

• Working primarily on our own fleet of modern HGV commercial vehicles and machinery
• Preparing HGVs for MOT
• Carrying out HGV safety inspections and keeping these up to date
• Completing necessary paperwork for each job (e.g., job cards, inspection sheets, parts lists)
• HGV experience necessary

PLG Role

• Working on public, trade, and our own cars and vans
• Completing necessary paperwork for each job (e.g., job cards, inspection sheets, parts lists)
• Time served and experience necessary

Skills Required

• Ability to work using own initiative & as part of a team
• Operating diagnostic computer
• Class 1 or 2 driving licence advantageous
• MOT tester (class I, II, IV & VII) advantageous

General info

• Negotiable rate of pay depending on skills & experience
• Hours: Monday - Friday 0800 - 1800 & Saturday 0900 - 1500
• Workplace pension
• Initial 3-month trial with a view of becoming permanent for the right candidate
