Gi Group seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join a rubber mixing facility in the UK. You will maintain mechanical and hydraulic systems, diagnose faults, and optimise plant reliability in a 50-hour-week role with a 5x10 shift pattern.
Role requires a mechanical engineering degree, 3+ years’ experience in heavy industry, and strong hydraulics knowledge. Hands-on troubleshooting and CMMS proficiency are essential to minimise downtime.
Salary £60k
Hours 50 hours per week.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience in hydraulics to support the maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of mechanical and hydraulic systems within a busy rubber mixing manufacturing facility.
The successful candidate will be involved and accountable for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of critical production equipment, including Banbury mixers, mixing mills, hydraulic presses, material handling systems, and associated plant utilities.
You must be a hands-on engineer with excellent troubleshooting skills and a proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex hydraulic and mechanical failures.
