The postholder will work face to face inSouthend-on-Sea todevelopand improve accessibility of theSouthend-on-SeasMECCtrainingprogramme andHealthyWorkplacesScheme.TheMECC/WorkplacesLeadwillplay a critical role in addressing barriers to engagement and enable people toplay an active part in supporting community health through building on thelocal community assets.

Main duties of the job

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • To contribute specialist advice to inform the delivery of evidence-based health promotion/ public health interventions inworkplaces
  • To develop, maintain and review monitoring systems, processes and procedures.

MECC:

  • Deliver Make Every Contact Count training to organisations and members on the community on a weekly basis
  • Expected to work with other providers to deliver optimal health outcomes for adult residents andthe local community.
  • Leadonsocial media for the Integrated Service
  • Leadon the annual Feel Good Festival
  • Effectively engage all partners / stakeholders in health and voluntary services with the wellbeing service and ensure they are briefed on each programmes aims and objectives. Providing service introductions where permissible.
  • To maintain and review the community engagement tracker for use across theSouthendWellbeing service.
  • Co-ordinate and attend virtual and face to face events to promote the service we offer inSouthend.

Qualifications
