Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe at Westerleigh is seeking Production Operatives for the Abattoir Department. You will learn new skills, work on a busy production line, and join a team focused on quality and safety.

This full-time role offers a 40-hour week with rotating shifts (approx. 06:30 start) and paid training to progress within the business. No prior meat-processing experience required; a can-do attitude, good communication and teamwork are needed.

Responsibilities

• Operating equipment and machinery to prepare carcass for chilling.
• Follow training in food safety to ensure high quality, food safe products.
• Ensuring health and safety to create a safe working environment.
• Training in knife safety to minimise risks of injury.
• Completing tasks efficiently to reduce waste and downtime.
• Working as part of a team, with a positive attitude and knowledge sharing.
• Work flexibly across multiple roles within the Abattoir to meet service levels.
• Previous experience would be beneficial.
