Job summary

Staffline is recruiting a Butcher / Meat Trimmer for our busy production team on site in Kelloholm, Dumfriesshire. This is a well-established food production role with full-time hours and an early shift pattern starting at 6am.

You will trim, cut and prepare meat to customer specifications, use knives and equipment safely, and help maintain quality, hygiene and yield while meeting daily targets. Previous meat trimming experience is preferred but not essential as full training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in butchery or meat trimming preferred but not required.
• Reliable with good timekeeping and attendance.
• Willing to learn and develop knife skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Trimming and preparing meat products to company and customer specifications.
• Using knives and production equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintaining high standards of quality, presentation and product yield.
• Following all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Assisting with production activities as required.
• Working efficiently to meet daily production targets.
• Keeping work areas, equipment and tools clean and tidy.
• Supporting colleagues to ensure smooth production operations.
