Job summary

JP Engineering in Colchester is seeking an experienced Measured Building Surveyor to join our growing surveying team. You will carry out detailed measured surveys across sites to produce accurate floor plans, elevations and sections, using Leica total stations and laser scanners.

You will work both independently and as part of a wider team, with opportunities to develop your surveying skills on varied UK projects and travel across the country with occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out measured building surveys.
• Strong ability to produce plans, elevations and sections.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Experience with Leica total stations and laser scanning equipment is advantageous.
• Topographical or underground utilities experience would be a bonus.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out measured building surveys across a variety of sites.
• Produce accurate floor plans, elevations and sections.
• Use Leica total stations and laser scanners.
• Process survey data and drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Work independently and as part of a wider surveying team.
• Opportunity to get involved in topographical and underground utilities surveys.
• Travel to sites across the UK, with some overnight stays required.
• Receive ongoing training and technical development.
