Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Godden Green in Kent near Sevenoaks is seeking an Activity Coordinator to design and deliver a personalised activity programme across the hospital’s female PICU service. You will coordinate, plan and run activities to meet each patient’s goals, aiming for at least 25 hours of meaningful activity per week.

The role is 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis, including weekends. Driving the hospital vehicle and DBS checks are part of the process; prior mental health hospital experience

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health hospital is preferable.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Promote hospital reputation and maintain a positive attitude toward patients, families, staff and stakeholders.
• Plan and facilitate activities to promote patient well-being and social engagement.
• Support patients to create independent activity plans based on interests and goals.
• Create an atmosphere aligned with the Recovery Model and Cygnet Values.
• Co-produce and implement activity programmes; prepare materials and resources.
• Accompany patients to off-site community activities and drive hospital vehicles.
• Collaborate with other hospital departments to ensure access to all elements of treatment.
