Job summary

Plaistow Hill Primary and Nursery School is seeking a Mealtime Assistant to join the lunchtime team. The role covers the lunch hall and playground activities, promoting positive behaviour, first aid and pastoral care for pupils. Weekday lunchtimes only, with forest school sessions using nearby woodland.

You will lead play, supervise children, promote healthy eating and contribute to safeguarding and the school’s mission within a supportive Trust environment.

Job description

Mealtime Assistant on the lunchtime team at Plaistow Hill Primary and Nursery School, a small one form entry school. The post covers the lunch hall, leading play and team games in the playground, promoting positive behaviour, first aid and pastoral care for all pupils. Shifts are weekday lunchtimes only, and the school uses nearby woodland for forest school sessions. An Enhanced DBS is required and visa sponsorship is not available.
