Overview

We are seeking caring and reliable Mealtime Assistants to join our pool of supply staff. You will help create a safe, positive dining environment where pupils can enjoy their lunch break and socialise.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise children in the dining hall, playground, and other designated areas during lunch.
  • Encourage good table manners and positive behaviour.
  • Assist younger children with opening food containers or cutting food where needed.
  • Ensure the dining and play areas remain clean, tidy, and safe.
  • Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and first-aid procedures.
Qualifications
  • Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or youth setting is desirable.
  • Friendly and approachable manner with strong communication skills as a Mealtime Assistant.
  • Ability to remain calm and proactive in a busy lunchtime environment.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
