Job summary

Silverwood School, Chippenham campus, is seeking a compassionate MDSA to supervise pupils during lunch breaks, ensuring safety and positive interaction in both the dining area and playground.

You will support pupils in eating a nutritious meal, help develop good manners and social skills, and report concerns to staff. Training will be provided to help you succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Has a kind, calm and friendly manner.
• Enjoys working with children contributing to their development.
• Is reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Experience working in a school or with children is preferred but not essential — training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during the lunch break, both in the dining area and outside in the playground
• Encourage positive play and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils
• Prepare food and help the pupils eat a nutritious meal
• Support pupils in developing good manners and social skills during lunchtime
• Help manage minor incidents and report concerns to the relevant staff

• Has experience working in a school or with children (preferred but not essential - training will be provided
