MD, Head of UK Third Party Risk Management, Legal Entity Operational Risk Management (ORM) Frameworks, & Strategic InitiativesRole Summary :The Head of UK Third Party Risk Management, Legal Entity Operational Risk Management (ORM) Frameworks, & Strategic Initiatives oversight reports to the 2LOD Global Head of Operational Resiliency, Third Party, & Strategic Risk Management and is responsible for developing, directing and managing the overall operational risk management frameworks for State Street SSBTC London Branch and its affiliate legal entities in UK (ex. SSIM).The candidate will additionally be the risk advisor for certain UK Legal Entities with dual report to the Chief Risk Officer for UK (SMF4) and is responsible for ensuring that the respective risk programs address all relevant risks as well as corporate and local requirements; collaborating with Second Line of Defense (SLOD) peers as well as with Legal, Public Policy, and Corporate Audit as appropriate.Key Responsibilities :Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of UK specific requirements for risk management frameworks, policies, and standards, with specific focus on ORM policies, Third Party risk mgmt., and Climate Risk, ensuring alignment with PRA/FCA regulatory obligations and industry best practicesProvide risk advisory and oversight to assigned UK Legal Entities (LEs), as delegate of SMF 4, including oversight of ICAAP/ICAARA process, as requiredManage oversight of UK Third-Party Risk (including internal intercompany outsourcing) covering review/challenge of risk assessment including exit strategies for service providers supporting UK LEs, ensuring alignment with legal entity risk appetite and regulatory standards.Manage ORM oversight of strategic Change Management initiatives impacting relevant UK legal entities. This includes ORM oversight for mergers and acquisitions, lift outs, and new product approvals relevant to the UK.Manage oversight of the global climate risk management program, including UK climate risk management policy, priorities, and disclosures.Support Corporate ORM on the global ORM framework design and advancement and communicate UK regulatory expectations for consideration in development of Global standards, as and when appropriate.Manage oversight of the operational risk management programs to ensure effective identification, measurement, control and management of the relevant risks for all relevant UK legal entities.Support communication and escalation of trends, insights, emerging risks, key issues and information to senior management and across the three lines of defense.Provide risk reporting to the relevant UK business units, management committees, and legal entity boards, as requiredRisk Excellence :Promote and supports a culture of effective challenge and drives a risk aware culture throughout the organisationTake reasonable decisions by exercising reasonable care when considering the information available.
