MD, Head of Securities Services Product and Solutions, covering Alternatives, Asset Manager and Asset Owner clients

Our client, a well-established Global Securities Services firm (closely aligned to the Global Markets business), is looking for an experienced and senior leader to head up the client-facing Product Management and Solutions team which drives the strategy and value proposition across Alternative Investors, Asset Managers, and Asset Owners. You will have strong man-management and product management experience including strategic planning, commercial negotiation, P&L management; and an excellent understanding of the securities services industry and its trends.

Role Outline

  • To organise and lead the following team structure:
  • Go-To-Market Strategy which includes the articulation and promotion of the global strategy and value proposition for each regional product team.
  • Products & Solutions designing the business operating models and client experience and driving related development to maximise the P&L of products, adapting to client needs.
  • Product Management Framework, ensuring that product capabilities are fully aligned with Compliance, Risk, and Conduct policies and develop standard product management practices.
  • Client Digital Experience, designing a combination of solutions to deliver an end-to-end user experience that exceeds clients’ expectations.
  • Strategic Client Integration, ensuring a consistent and efficient integration of new strategic business.
  • Regional Management Committee post: The post holder is a permanent member of the regional Management Committee. The role has risk reporting and escalation responsibilities for the respective product sets and client solutions within the perimeter.
  • Successful candidates will most likely have worked in the Securities / Fund Services industry and ideally have relevant experience in Private Markets [the fastest growing client stream] as well as Asset Managers and Asset Owners, whilst leading product management and development teams (or closely related areas).
  • Candidates with a good understanding of Private Capital from a senior Operations, securitisation or fund control / oversight perspective on the client side will also be considered, but should understand securities services product strategy, evaluation of product gaps, delivering on product roadmaps / business plans, and implementation projects too. Strategic planning, commercial negotiation, and P&L management is essential.
  • A natural client manner, with the ability to interact with senior executives internally (particularly sales, IT, Operations, marketing) and externally is essential; as well as a ‘roll your sleeves’ up and proactive outlook.
  • Relevant market knowledge to be able to represent the organisation and clients’ interests in strategic market forums is required.
  • Self-motivation, integrity, team player, adaptability, and technical expertise is key, as is the ability to work with counterparts across the globe.
  • Ideally proficiency in a second European language in addition to fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • Ideally a graduate or have demonstrable relevant industry experience with relevant training and qualifications.
