Job description

About The Role

RAC has a fantastic opportunity for an Automotive Technical Training Specialist to join our Training Team based in Woking with a prestigious Supercar brand known for its outstanding reputation for quality, technical expertise, and training delivery.

We are looking to recruit an engaging Automotive Technical Training Specialist to design, develop, and deliver a broad range of technical training programmes to meet the requirements of the retailer network. The role will require extensive international travel to deliver training to our global retailer network.

Experience as an Automotive Technical Trainer is desired.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical training to a variety of delegates.
  • Ensure the provision of training resources: delegate handouts, PowerPoint slides, special tools, training aids, and vehicles.
  • Proofread and amend training material.
  • Ensure all training activities comply with the company's quality standards, health and safety requirements, legal stipulations, environmental policies, and general duty of care.
  • Work as a member of the Technical Training Team, as well as delivering training independently.
Role Requirements:
  • Have excellent training delivery and facilitation skills, with a passion for learning and coaching.
  • Relevant adult training qualifications such as CIPD and TAP are preferred but not essential; additional development programmes are available if these qualifications have not yet been achieved.
  • Be able to work under pressure and use innovation in the delivery and assessment of training.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Able to work within agreed time-scales.
  • Good knowledge and experience of MS Office applications and the internet.
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence.
In return, we offer:
  • A competitive base salary with a company car.
  • FREE RAC Ultimate Complete Breakdown Service from Day One.
  • Option to join RAC’s Group Personal Pension scheme, where we will match/contribute up to 6.5% on qualifying earnings.
  • Family leave support including paid time off, flexibility, and resources to help balance work and family commitments.
  • Enhanced Parental Leave.
  • Confidential personal support service, available 24/7 for you and any family members aged 16+ in your household.
  • Car salary sacrifice scheme – after 12 months of employment, with significant tax savings, including electric vehicle options.
  • Access to Orange Savings, our online discounts portal offering savings on high street retailers, supermarkets, holidays, tech, and more.

When you join us, you will automatically be opted into our Colleague Share Scheme, called ‘Owning it together’. This is a unique opportunity for colleagues to be rewarded for their outstanding work and share in the future success of RAC.

We’re committed to developing a culture that is representative of the diverse communities we serve and one which is open, accessible, collaborative, and inclusive. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and experiences.
