An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Mayor’s Chauffeur and Macebearer to support the Mayor of Richmond in their civic duties. This part-time role involves ensuring the Mayor arrives safely and on time at various events, maintaining the mayoral car, and upholding civic protocol. The ideal candidate will possess a full clean driving licence and demonstrate exceptional customer care skills. This position is part-time, it is expected that you will work 20 hours per week on average. Should you work fewer hours in a week you will be expected to make this up during busier times.
Should you exceed the 20-hour threshold, your extra hours will be paid at a basic rate up to 36 hours and then as overtime.
We are looking for a Chauffeur and Macebearer to support the Mayor of Richmond in discharging their civic duties.The postholder will be required to support events, functions and other duties ensuring the Mayor arrives safely and in a timely manner.
The post holder will also be required to act as Macebearer at council meetings and at other key events such as the annual Mayor Making meeting.
The postholder must have a full clean driving licence, and be able to plan efficient journey routes. The post will require flexibility with evening and weekend working.
The civic and charitable Mayoral events will mainly be in the borough but you may be required to attend additional events across London.
