Job summary

Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer in London is seeking a diligent administrator to support the New Business Intake (NBI) team. You will assist with opening clients and matters, ensure compliant setup, and help with billing and reporting requirements.

Working closely with matter teams and finance, you will drive efficient processes, respond to internal inquiries, and identify improvements to the NBI workflow across the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the matter team to ensure new transactions are set up optimally to meet both external client and legal requirements and internal reporting/billing requirements.
  • Assistance with opening of new clients/matters and generation of matter numbers.
  • Monitor the setup of clients/matters to ensure compliance with the regulations and billing/rates requirements, liaising where relevant with the Business Finance, Risk Management and Tax Teams.
  • Actioning changes to clients and matters as requested by matter teams.
  • Assistance with the setup of eBilling clients.
  • Using the information held within the Practice Management system to assist internal clients (lawyers/secretaries) by responding to their enquiries.
  • Liaising with the other New Business Intake teams to ensure a joined up and efficient process for the fee earners and PA's.
  • Identify process improvements to the internal NBI Matter Management processes.
  • Ad hoc project support for the NBI team globally
