Job summary

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a compassionate Matron to provide senior nursing leadership across Older Adult Inpatient Services. The role focuses on visible clinical leadership, patient safety, quality, governance and ongoing service improvement to ensure safe, effective and person-centred care.

You will work with ward leaders and the multidisciplinary team to shape inpatient care, support nursing staff, and drive the organisation’s improvement journey while modelling

Job description

We are looking for a compassionate and inspiring Matron to provide senior nursing leadership across our Older Adult Inpatient Services. This is a key leadership role, providing visible clinical leadership and oversight of patient safety, quality, workforce, governance and service improvement. You will work closely with ward leaders and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure our patients receive safe, effective and person-centred care.

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate senior nurse with a strong track record of clinical leadership and a passion for improving inpatient care for older people.

You will be a credible, visible and inspiring leader who can support and challenge teams to achieve high standards. You will have excellent communication and influencing skills, strong clinical judgement and a good understanding of patient safety, clinical governance, risk management, workforce and quality improvement.

You will be comfortable managing complex and competing priorities, using data and evidence to inform decisions and working collaboratively across professional and organisational boundaries.
