An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced nurse to join our Community Beds matron team. The post holder will contribute, alongside colleagues, to delivery of the Community Beds portfolio across our sites at Rowley Regis Hospital, Leasowes Intermediate Care Centre and Harvest View reablement facility.
This could either provide a new opportunity for an existing Matron, or a development opportunity for an individual who wants to broaden their experience and scope within senior nursing leadership in the field of older adult’s care and specialist rehabilitation.
As an integrated Acute and Community Trust, the role has a focus on operational management, quality and safety assurance across our nurse-led units, and on development of services and pathways to provide excellence in clinical care both in inpatient services and discharge planning with a clear focus on integrated and patient-centred care utilising a ‘home first’ mindset.
This is an exciting time for the Trust, and our services, as we support patients in our care to receive the care they require, including specialist rehabilitation, end of life care services, or support with complex discharge planning arrangements
The successful candidate will have community or acute therapy experience with a clinical background in acute medicine/frailty, emergency care or admission avoidance. Effective communication across the multi-disciplinary team and senior leadership team is vital, and you will be required to deliver work at pace whilst strengthening quality and safety standards.
Alongside relevant clinical experience, applicants will demonstrate excellent communication and critical thinking skills, with strong leadership skills, including in challenging situations. The successful candidate will also be passionate about multidisciplinary working.
