We have an exciting opportunity for a Matron to join our Acute and Forensic Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit Inpatient teams within the Directorate of mental Health.
The Matron for the Female pathway will oversee the clinical/ professional and operational leadership of 2 acute mental health wards and 1 female PICU, based at the Bradgate Mental Health Unit.
The role of the Matron is to provide professional clinical and operational leadership and management for services ensuring high quality, safe and effective quality of care is delivered, within the resources available while ensuring that care is organised to meet the needs of the patient, enhancing their experience, and supporting staff to meet the Directorate and Trust objectives.
The matron role is instrumental in promoting high standards of clinical care and maintaining patient safety, reducing health inequalities, and promoting equality for all. Staff education & development, workforce retention and recruitment through compassionate, inclusive leadership.
