Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Matron to enhance safety, experience and outcomes for Older Person Community services in West Norfolk. The post focuses on clinical leadership, quality assurance and implementing strategic plans.

The role requires strong leadership, compassion, and a drive to embed high quality care across a multi-disciplinary team within NSFT.

Qualifications

  • Diploma level/Degree in relevant health/social care profession, e.g. RMN, RLDN OT, Social Worker.
  • Current relevant registration with the NMC or HCPC.
  • Masters Level Degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Detailed leadership and clinical responsibilities for a Matron within Older Person Community services.
  • Drive quality and safety in line with national standards and CQC domains.
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversee multi-disciplinary teams in West Norfolk.

Education

We have an exciting opportunity for a Matron position to enhance the safety, experience and outcomes of people using our Older Person Community services in West Norfolk

This is a unique opportunity for somebody with a drive to embed high quality care to our cohort of service users, based o n best practice and national guidance. The role will involve providing leadership as well as clinical support to the team whilst contributing to the implementation of strategic plans.

This is an exciting time for change within NSFT, this opportunity will benefit someone looking expand their already established nursing practice, knowledge and clinical leadership to embed and maintain effective systems for quality assurance and high standards clinical care

As Matron, you will be expected to demonstrate the qualities and skills associated with a clinical leadership role and be accountable for services meeting essential standards of care as outlined by the CQC as well as agreed local and national quality standards encompassing the following domains:

  • Physical Health
  • Safeguarding
  • Feedback, Complaints, service improvement
  • Clinical Audit

Qualifications

Experience
  • Significant experience working within and managing mental health clinical services
  • Significant experience of clinical performance management
  • Significant general and operational management experience to include the management of a large multi-disciplinary group of staff – part of which to have been in the NHS
