TeacherActive SEN Tutor Recruitment - South East London

TeacherActive is recruiting strong SEN Tutors in the South East London area.

In this role, you will work on a one-to-one basis or in small groups with pupils who have SEMH and ASD needs. This may take place in educational settings or other venues such as libraries or the pupils' homes.

Due to the nature and complexities of each referral, specific details cannot be disclosed.

We are looking for candidates to start immediately. We offer both part-time and full-time positions.

Role Requirements:
  • Experienced tutor, confident in delivering 1:1 or small group sessions
  • Comfortable working independently in homes or other venues
  • Ability to build effective relationships with children and families
  • Strong knowledge of KS3/KS4 curricula
  • Creative and bespoke curriculum differentiation skills
  • Experience and understanding of working with SEMH/SEN pupils
  • Undergraduate degree and/or prior experience working with SEND pupils
  • Good educational background in English and Maths
  • Knowledge or keen interest in different learning difficulties and disabilities (SEMH, ASC, challenging behaviour)
  • Adaptability to various working environments and student abilities
  • Practical approach to supporting students with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a caring attitude
  • Flexibility regarding working patterns
