Job summary

A dedicated education agency in London is searching for passionate Maths Tutors to provide one-on-one tuition. You will help pupils improve their maths skills in their homes or local community hubs, adapting sessions to individual learning needs. Ideal candidates will possess knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and have previous tutoring experience. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the maths UK National Curriculum for Key Stage 3 or 4.
• Previous experience tutoring maths to students outside of the school system.

Overview

Maths tutor — London — £25 - £30 per hour — Full time & Part time available. We are looking for dedicated and passionate Maths Tutors to work with pupils receiving Alternative Provisions outside the traditional school setting, across London. You will provide one-on-one tuition in the home or local community hub to help students improve their maths skills, gain confidence, and reach their academic goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored maths sessions to pupils based on their individual needs and learning styles.
• Build positive relationships with students, encouraging a growth mindset and self-confidence in their abilities.
• Support students in exam preparation, homework help, and improving their overall maths skills.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit different levels of understanding and learning styles.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the maths UK National Curriculum for Key Stage 3 or 4, depending on the role.
• Previous experience tutoring maths to students outside of the school system or those with additional needs.
• Patience, adaptability, and the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
• Qualified Teacher Status in maths or the equivalent tutoring experience.
