Job Description

Bath College is committed to providing high-quality learning for a diverse student body. We are seeking a Maths Tutor to contribute to this mission by delivering GCSE maths and Functional Skills to 16-18 learners and adults, either during the day or evening. The role involves developing lesson plans, assessment strategies, and maintaining a safe learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver high standards of teaching and learning, monitor assessments, and ensure compliance with awarding body requirements.
  2. Produce sequencing documents, lesson plans, assessment plans, and learning materials.
  3. Coordinate and maintain records of student assessments.
  4. Communicate assessment and timetable information effectively.
  5. Promote the success and vision of the department.
  6. Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety policies and conducting risk assessments as needed.
Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
  1. Level 4 qualification in Mathematics or a related field.
  2. Knowledge of the GCSE Maths syllabus.
  3. Knowledge of the Functional Skills Maths syllabus.
  4. Understanding of diverse teaching and assessment strategies.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
