Job summary

Step Teachers Ltd is recruiting a Maths Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages in a flexible short-term and long-term capacity. The role covers multiple secondary settings in Finchley and surrounding areas, with weekly pay via PAYE and a supportive recruitment team.

You will work from prepared plans, assess progress, and adapt strategies to pupils of various abilities. QTS or equivalent is required, with strong maths knowledge and confident classroom management.

• Assess and record pupil progress when required.
• Contribute to departmental planning during longer placements.
• Promote positive attitudes towards numeracy and independent learning.

These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Finchley and the surrounding areas, delivering high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages.

Duties as Maths Teacher:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured Maths lessons using provided plans
• Teach a range of mathematical topics including algebra, geometry, number, and statistics
• Support pupils in developing strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Adapt teaching strategies to support learners of different abilities

• Contribute to departmental planning and collaboration during longer-term placements
