Base pay range

Secondary Maths Teacher – Easter 2025

Location: Sheffield

Start Date: Easter 2025

Day Rate: £140 - £200 per day (Dependent on Experience)

Overview

Elevate Supply is looking for a passionate and dedicated Secondary Maths Teacher to join schools in Sheffield starting from Easter 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and support students as they navigate Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, while fostering a love for mathematics and academic excellence.

Position Summary

In this role, you will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that are aligned with the national curriculum. You will have the opportunity to create a dynamic learning environment where students are encouraged to reach their full academic potential. Your expertise will contribute to both their mathematical understanding and overall personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating and interactive lessons that engage students and meet curriculum standards.
• Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture where all students feel valued.
• Collaborate effectively with the Maths department and the broader school team to enhance student learning and outcomes.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge and proven experience teaching Mathematics up to GCSE level (A-Level teaching experience is desirable but not essential).
• A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
• Ability to create an engaging and motivating learning environment.
• An Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to apply for one).
