Teaching Personnel is working with a specialistSocial, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) schoolin Wandsworth to recruit a dedicatedMaths Teacher. This role involves supporting students withchallenging behaviour, helping them build confidence, numeracy skills, and a positive relationship with learning.
Deliver engaging and adaptive Maths lessons (KS3 & KS4) tailored to students with SEMH needs.
Use atrauma-informed approachto manage behaviour and foster a safe, structured learning environment.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral teams to support students’ academic and emotional development.
Differentiate lessons to meet individual needs, ensuring all students can access and progress in Maths.
Contribute to a curriculum that balances academic achievement with social and emotional growth.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)or relevant teaching experience in the UK.
Experience teachingMathsat secondary level, ideally withinSEMH, PRUs, or alternative provision.
Strongbehaviour management skillsand the ability to engage disaffected learners.
Patience, resilience, and a passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
A creative and flexible approach to teaching, making Maths accessible and relevant.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
