Maths Teacher (SEN)

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Maths Teacher for an SEMH School in Urmston, Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible maths lessons, tailored to meet the diverse needs of their students.

The school caters for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, who have been removed from mainstream education. Some students display behavioural challenges, come from challenging home lives, or exhibit trauma-informed behaviors.

You will be required to deliver Maths lessons up to GCSE level.

Location: Urmston

Position: Maths Teacher

Contract type: Temp to Perm

Full-time/Part-time: Full time

Rate of pay: To Scale

Hours: 8:30 am, plus parents' evenings

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience working with students with special educational needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to inclusive education.

Eligibility requirements:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional child-related references covering the last 2 years.
