Job summary

Moray Council seeks a Teacher of Maths for Forres Academy. Two posts available, permanent if desired, with potential job-sharing or part-time arrangements. A relocation package of £5,400 (excl. VAT) may be offered. Regulation via PVG scheme is required for the role.

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be provisionally registered.
• Able to take up unpromoted permanent posts on a temporary basis if needed.
• Relocation package of £5400 may be available.

Responsibilities

• Teaching assigned maths classes with preparation and marking.
• Developing the school curriculum.
• Assessing, recording and reporting pupil progress.
• Preparing pupils for examinations and assisting with administration.
• Providing advice and guidance to pupils on education matters.
• Promoting health, welfare and safety of pupils.
• Working with parents, staff and other professionals.
• Undertaking continuing professional development.
• Contributing to school planning and raising achievement.
• Contributing to good order and broader school needs.
