Job summary

Teaching Personnel are partnering with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Accrington to recruit a qualified Maths Teacher for a full-time position starting January 2027. The role involves delivering engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The successful candidate will plan, assess, and provide feedback, while building positive relationships with students, staff and parents within a supportive department and school community.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK is required.
• Experience teaching Mathematics in a secondary school setting is essential.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics are expected.
• Excellent classroom management and commitment to student potential are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan, prepare and assess work in line with the national curriculum.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Contribute to the wider Mathematics department and school community.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support achievement and wellbeing.
