Job description

About the Role:
A well-regarded secondary school in Leeds is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis starting in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and dynamic learning environment.

The role will initially cover the Autumn term, with teaching responsibilities scheduled for Monday to Wednesday each week. There may be potential for the contract to be extended beyond the initial term depending on departmental needs and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support departmental initiatives and student development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement and contribute to reports and parent meetings as required.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching in a UK secondary school setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
