Job summary

Sutton High School is seeking a dedicated Maths teacher for maternity cover to deliver Maths across KS3, 4 and 5. You should be capable of teaching GCSE and A Level Maths, with Further Maths desirable, and create engaging, challenging lessons.

Applicants may be experienced teachers or an ECT, with a supportive faculty and opportunities for professional development. A 20% PPA planning allowance and flexible time for full-time staff are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to teach Maths across KS3-KS5, including GCSE and A Level (Further Maths desirable).
• ECTs welcome and supported in a collaborative faculty.
• 20% PPA planning allowance; Full-time with flexible time (morning or afternoon) that can be worked from home.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Maths to Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 with engaging and creative lessons.
• Deliver GCSE and A Level Maths lessons with emphasis on collaboration and thinking.
• Contribute to high-quality teaching and maintain excellent pupil behaviour and attainment.

The role

Sutton High School is seeking an engaging and passionate teacher to deliver Maths to highly motivated girls in Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. This is a full-time role.

The successful candidate should have the capability to teach GCSE and A Level Maths (and ideally Further Maths), creating challenging and thought-provoking lessons, with an emphasis on creativity and collaboration.

At our school, behaviour is excellent, pupils want to learn and results are strong. You can focus on teaching your subject, sharing your love for Maths with pupils who are kind, polite and respectful.
