Teaching Opportunities - SEMH Secondary School, Islington (EC1)
Location: Islington, EC1
School Type: SEMH Secondary School
Working Hours: Full-Time (8:30am - 4:00pm)
Daily Rate: 170 - 260 (Dependent on Experience)
Start Date: ASAP

A supportive and specialist SEMH secondary school in Islington is currently seeking passionate and resilient educators for two exciting full-time teaching opportunities:



Maths Teacher

  • Deliver engaging Maths lessons to KS3-KS4 students with social, emotional, and mental health needs
  • Adapt lesson content to individual learning styles and academic levels
  • Promote numeracy, confidence, and a positive learning environment
  • Work closely with support staff to maintain classroom consistency and structure


Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant UK teaching qualification
  • Experience working in SEMH or Alternative Provision settings (preferred)
  • Excellent behaviour management and a calm, nurturing approach
  • Previous experience managing challenging behaviour.
  • Ideally experience working with children and/or young people.
  • Valid and enhanced child or child and adult DBS check.

To be eligible for this role you must have an Enhanced Child or Child & Adult Workforce barred list DBS Certificate registered on the update service.
