Job Description

Are you an experienced, qualified Maths Teacher looking for a new role within education? Do you manage classes effectively with high expectations of behaviour? Do you establish a safe and stimulating learning environment?

TeacherActive is seeking an experienced Maths Teacher to join our supportive community of educators across various mainstream secondary schools in the Exeter area. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and know when and how to differentiate appropriately to enable all pupils to learn effectively.

Position Details

We are working with a supportive secondary school in East Devon, looking for a dedicated Maths Teacher to start from February half term on a long-term, full-term basis for the remainder of the academic year. You will need to:

• Hold QTS / Qualified Teacher Status with a Maths specialism and at least 6 months of UK classroom experience (ECT / Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply)
• Have experience teaching Maths across KS3 / Key Stage 3 and KS4 / Key Stage 4 (KS5 / Key Stage 5 experience is desirable)
• Demonstrate positive attitudes, values, and behaviour expected of pupils
• Manage classes effectively with approaches suitable to pupils' needs
• Utilize formative and summative assessments to secure pupils' progress
