About the Role

Are you an experienced, qualified Maths Teacher looking for a new role within education? Do you manage classes effectively with high expectations of behaviour? Do you establish a safe and stimulating learning environment?

TeacherActive is seeking an experienced Maths Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive community of educators for various mainstream secondary schools in the East Devon area. You should demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and know when and how to differentiate appropriately to enable all pupils to be taught effectively.

Position Details

We are working with a supportive secondary school in East Devon looking for a dedicated Maths Teacher to start from February half term on a long-term, full-term basis for the rest of the academic year. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and effective differentiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Hold QTS / Qualified Teacher Status with a Maths specialism and at least 6 months of experience in a UK classroom (Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply)
• Experience teaching Maths at KS3 / Key Stage 3 and KS4 / Key Stage 4 (KS5 experience is desirable)
• Maintain positive attitudes, values, and behaviour expected of pupils
• Manage classes effectively with approaches suitable to pupils' needs
• Utilize formative and summative assessments to secure pupils' progress
