Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher for a high-performing secondary school in Tunbridge Wells, to start September 2026. You will teach Maths across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities, in a collaborative department with strong student outcomes.

The successful candidate will hold QTS, bring solid maths knowledge, and demonstrate excellent classroom management and commitment to student progress. This role offers supportive leadership and ongoing CPD.

Qualifications

• QTS holder with eligibility to teach in the UK.
• Experience teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4.
• Confidence to teach KS5 is desirable.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for education.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire and challenge students.
• Teach your specialist subject across KS3 and KS4.
• Deliver KS5 lessons where appropriate.
• Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support achievement.
• Create a positive, inclusive and purposeful classroom environment.
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and departmental initiatives.
