Maths Teacher at Secondary SEMH School in Stockport

Hays Education is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a secondary SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Stockport for a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people and to start ASAP after Easter.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH.
  2. Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students.
  3. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student development.
  5. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Requirements:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  2. Experience teaching Maths at the secondary level.
  3. Understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to support students.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
