Job summary

Oakfield Short Stay School, part of Leicestershire County Council, is recruiting Maths teachers to work across sites with pupils at risk of exclusion. The role requires a creative, trauma-informed, holistic approach and excellent communication to inspire students and support reintegration into mainstream education.

You will work with educational psychologists and SEN coordinators, delivering high-quality teaching, planning for diverse needs, and using IT to monitor and enhance learning.

Qualifications

• QTS required; Maths specialism preferred.
• Experience with pupils with SEND/SEMH in secondary contexts.
• Ability to lead and support staff in delivering high-quality teaching.
• Strong IT skills to support service delivery and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Teach Maths to groups of pupils with diverse needs.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons.
• Collaborate with educational psychologists, SEN coordinators and external agencies.
• Support reintegration of pupils into mainstream schools.
• Promote inclusion and accessibility in all activities.
