TLR: + TLR 2A ( 3,527) available for Head of Key Stage 4 or Head of Key Stage 5
Reporting to: Head of Mathematics

We are working with a great secondary school based in Berkshire who are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Teacher of Mathematics to join them in January 2026. The school hiring are Rated 9;Good9; by Ofsted. The school is dedicated to providing outstanding education while nurturing a culture of Courage, Compassion, and Commitment.

This role offers the opportunity to teach across Key Stage 3 and 4, with the potential to step into a leadership role as Head of KS4 or KS5, supported by a TLR 2A ( 3,527).

Leadership Responsibilities (KS4 or KS5)

As part of your leadership role, you will:

  • Lead the development and performance of your key stage within the Maths department
  • Promote the vision, ethos, and values of the department and wider school
  • Raise standards of achievement, behaviour, attendance, and engagement
  • Oversee curriculum planning, teaching quality, and assessment strategies
  • Track student progress and implement effective intervention strategies
  • Mentor and support Early Career Teachers and PGCE trainees
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers
General Teaching Responsibilities

In your teaching capacity, you will:

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and high-quality Maths lessons
  • Foster a positive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Contribute to school life through clubs, activities, and events
  • Communicate regularly with parents/carers about student progress
  • Set high expectations for behaviour, effort, and academic success
